UPDATE - more lambs were born!!

Hi!

Röskva aka Rockyhead had one lamb yesterday evening and Snöfrid translated as Snow Peace two this morning, of which one of was pushed away by the mother. From now on the lamb will get all the nurture, love and cuddles from us.

Our little survivor Percy

From now on we have to take good care of the little lamb named Percy. It requires a huge amount of time, they want to be social and it's going to take a long time before he will be ready to stay on the green pasture with other kids to eat grass and play all by himself. But I know he will have plenty of time to run there because he's a strong one and can make it!
We milked Snöfrid - his mother and the he drank from the bottle, was happy, got his cuddles and went to sleep. However, it is definitely not an easy job since you have to feed him 12 times a day, so in about every 2 hours. This night is going to be fun or is it..

Edda's lambs who are big enough now to start fooling around
It is not normal for a sheep to push her lamb off but it happens. Snöfrid did the same last year but then she rejected the weaker one who later died, they can sometimes sense also whether the lamb can survive or not. This time Snöfrid seemed a bit stressed over both of the lambs but started kicking one with the head instead of taking care of him and cleaning. Peter and Malena thought that maybe she just thinks she can't handle two lambs and pushes one away because of that. Anyways we tried to take the lamb to the local caretaker who nurtures all rejected lambs but unfortunately, she has moved away and didn't pick up her phone.

Beautiful, big and strong 20 minutes old female lamb

Now we have kinderkarten on the green pasture over the road with 3 mothers and their 4 lambs. One sheep is about to give birth to so we are expecting 1-3 more lambs.
This has been such a nice experience to see how lambs are born and how the mother is taking care of them. How protective they are and how they make humble "baa" noises between each other, extremely lovely. Soon we can put Percy too to the green pasture for an hour at a time with the other lambs to bond and see if they can all maybe play together.

We've been out on the island whole weekend so I'm already working on the new post, sorting pictures out, editing etc. Things proceeded rapidly with lambs and I just wanted to make this update since I was also talking a bit about the lambs on my last post. So hope Percy makes it, we're feeding him very often and also have to take him with us or arrange a feeder if we're leaving home for more than 4 hours. That'll change everything now, but we're totally up for new experiences and can only win from this.
They are so social, especially in the evenings when I go to check on them and they're chasing a football or playing around.
