27 hours of travelling and here we are - Bornholm!

Hi!

I know it has been over a week now since I left Estonia, but here's so much to do and it leaves really little time for writing.
Let's start with the basics - how we got here, why we do this and how does it look like here.

Still positive after the first 15 hours of our travel

We are travelling using the website called workaway and there are over 27 000 hosts in more than 155 countries. It's a cheap way of travelling, meeting people, gaining experience and of course exploring the surroundings. Workawayers usually work for 5 hours a day and in exchange get meals every day and free accommodation (there are exceptions - depends on the host).
We first tried this when we explored the Madeira island and were kind of running out of money so we thought that we can either go back home or cut out costs. This was the best idea ever because we ended up in central Portugal and met awesome people who I'll probably never forget!

Anyway, now we are in Denmark after a long long plane-metro-train-ferry-car ride we are finally here in Bornholm. 12 hours in Riga airport was a true nightmare and 7 hours in the city of Copenhagen wasn't so bad although, we had two suitcases, two laptop bags and a backpack. So we walked around a bit, in a park and few bigger streets. For an Estonian, all the prices were just unbearable so we just waited in the train station. After 3 hours in the same cafe while we could not afford more than two cups of teas (that cost us 8 euros) the baristas must have thought we were homeless.
However, rain ride was fast and fun, we went to Ystad which is in Sweden and took the ferry from there to Ronne (city in Bornholm) and a new adventure had begun :)

Kristjan and Angut having fun at the beach

Bornholm is a little island in the Baltic sea and we are staying in the south-eastern part of it. There are some sandy beaches but the vast majority are rather rocky beaches or cliffs. The Central part is covered in forest and there are mostly deer, hares, pheasants, eagles, hawks, ducks, seals and that's pretty much it with the animal side. All bigger towns are near the coast and have extremely nice small harbours and streets to walk on.

We are having our weekends off work so we can discover the island a bit more and give you a better overlook of how things work here. Keep posted and subscribe :)
